In March 2004 two investors decided to combine resources and find a townhouse to renovate as an investment. Within 2 months of retaining Harlem Lofts Inc as their buyer's Broker, they entered into a Contract at The New York Supreme Court Auction to purchase a property at 127th and Madison Avenue. Within 20 days, Harlem Lofts Inc's Consulting Division assisted the investors in creating The Madison Avenue Group LLC (MAGLLC).. With one of the investors living outside of New York and the other new at real estate investing, it was imperative that they have a knowledgeable Harlem-based company represent them in purchasing the right property.

They closed on the property in April 2004 and started construction immediately and obtained a new Certificate of Occupancy as a 4 family house by December.
